देहरादून। समुद्रतल से 3962 मीटर (12995 फीट) की ऊंचाई पर 87.5 वर्ग किमी क्षेत्र में फैली विश्व धरोहर फूलों की घाटी को 1 जून से पर्यटकों के लिए खोल दिया जाएगा। इसकी सभी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई हैं। यूनेस्को के विश्व धरोहर स्थल, फूलों की घाटी नंदा देवी बायोस्फीयर रिजर्व में आती है। यह जगह कुछ रंगीन और अविश्वसनीय फूलों जैसे गेंदा और ऑर्किड से बसी पड़ी है। इसके अलावा, इस क्षेत्र में पक्षियों, तितलियों और जानवरों को भी काफी अच्छी संख्या में देखा जा सकता है।
फूलों की घाटी जून से अक्टूबर तक पर्यटकों के लिए खुली रहती है। पूरी घाटी दुर्लभ और विदेशी हिमालयी वनस्पतियों से समृद्ध है। यहां फूलों की 300 से अधिक प्रजातियां पाईं जाती हैं, जिनमें एनीमोन, जेरेनियम, प्राइमुलस, ब्लू पोस्पी और ब्लूबेल शामिल हैं। लेकिन यहां देखने के लिए सबसे खूबसूरत फूल ब्रह्म कमल है, जिसे उत्तराखंड का राज्य फूल भी कहा जाता है। फूलों की घाटी यह एक उत्साही ब्रिटिश पर्वतारोही और एक वनस्पतिशास्त्री, फ्रैंक एस स्मिथ द्वारा एक आकस्मिक खोज थी, जब वह 1931 में इस क्षेत्र से गुजर रहे थे।
फूलों की घाटी को वर्ष 2005 में यूनेस्को का विश्व धरोहर स्थल घोषित किया गया था। घाटी में सत्रह किलोमीटर लंबा ट्रैक है जो 10,000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर स्थित घांघरिया से शुरू होता है, और जोशीमठ के पास एक छोटी सी बस्ती गोविंदघाट से ट्रैक के जरिए पहुंचा जा सकता है। फूलों की घाटी में प्रवेश करने के लिए नंदा देवी राष्ट्रीय उद्यान की ओर से ऑफलाइन माध्यम से अनुमति दी जाती है।
पर्यटन सचिव दिलीप जावलकर ने कहा कि फूलों की घाटी जैव विविधता का अनुपम खजाना है। हिमालय की गोद में बसी प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य के लिए विश्वविख्यात फूलों की घाटी एक जून से पर्यटकों के लिए खोल दी जाएगी। प्रकृति प्रेमियों और साहसिक गतिविधियों के शौकीन के लिए फूलों की घाटी पसंदीदा जगहों में से एक है। घाटी में आने वाले पर्यटकों का स्वागत करने के लिए राज्य पूरी तरह से तैयार है।
