देहरादून।  सेवा समर्पण व मानव सेवा का दूसरा नाम अनिल वर्मा है जो 139 बार रक्तदान कर चुके है और हर बार रक्तदान करने की इच्छा रखने है। इनके इस अदम्य साहस व सेवा भाव को देखते हुए   शिवालिक काॅलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग ने अनिल वर्मा को एक बार फिर “शिवालिक रक्तदान सेवा अवार्ड-2021″ से सम्मानित किया ।
यूथ रेडक्रास कमेटी, देहरादून द्वारा शिवालिक काॅलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग में आयोजित विशेष रक्तदान शिविर तथा विचार गोष्ठी में कुल 104 यूनिट रक्त एकत्र किया गया।
शिविर का उद्घाटन करते हुए मुख्य अतिथि रेडक्रास सोसायटी के महासचिव डॉ० एम एस अंसारी ने  कहा कि  रक्त का कृत्रिम निर्माण अभी तक संभव नहीं हो सकने तथा किसी पशु पक्षी का रक्त नहीं चढ़ाये जा सकने  के कारण केवल मानव का रक्त ही किसी जरूरतमंद की जान बचा सकता है। इसलिए रक्तदान को महादान-जीवनदान  कहा जाता है।  विशिष्ट अतिथि भारत विकास परिषद् ” द्रोण” के सचिव  ने कहा कि चूंकि रक्त को अधिक समय तक ब्लड बैंक में भी सुरक्षित नहीं रखा जा सकता। अत: युवाओं को  हर तीन महीने   बाद लगातार मानवीय कर्तव्य समझकर स्वैच्छिक रक्तदान करना चाहिए, ताकि ब्लड बैंकों में रक्त की उपलब्धता बनी रहे।

शिविर आयोजक तथा अब तक रिकॉर्ड 139 बार रक्तदान कर चुके डॉ० कार्ल लैंडस्टीनर अवार्डी अनिल वर्मा ने कहा कि हमारे देश में  “रक्तदान क्रांति” की आवश्यकता है। कभी – कभार रक्तदान कर लेना बड़ी बात नहीं है।रक्तदाताओं को रेगुलर ब्लड डोनर होना चाहिए। क्योंकि ब्लड बैंकों में रक्त की बहुत कमी है। आज भी दुर्घटनाओं में या प्रसव के दौरान ही अनेक व्यक्ति प्रतिदिन केवल इसलिए मौत का शिकार हो जाते हैं क्योंकि उन्हें  “वक्त पर रक्त ” नहीं मिल पाता।

हमारे देश में रक्तदान के प्रति निस्संदेह जागरूकता आई तो है परन्तु सच्चाई यह भी  है कि आज भी एक प्रतिशत से अधिक युवा रक्तदान नहीं करते। इसका सबसे बड़ा कारण यह भ्रांति है कि रक्तदान करने से शरीर में कमजोरी आ जाती है अथवा इम्यूनिटी कम हो जाती है जिससे शरीर को रोग  लग जाते हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि जबकि सच्चाई इसके विपरीत  है कि नियमित रूप से रक्तदान करते रहने से रक्तदाता को कमजोरी के बजाय  बहुत लाभ होता है।  रक्तदान करने पर बोन मैरो एक्टिवेट होने से शरीर में नये रक्त  का संचार होता है । जिससे  शरीर में रेड ब्लड सेल्स, व्हाइट ब्लड सेल्स, प्लाज्मा व प्लेटलेट्स  के गुणों में वृद्धि  होती है।
कार्यक्रम अध्यक्ष शिवालिक काॅलेज के प्रिंसिपल डॉ० गणेश भट्ट ने युवाओं में बढ़ती नशे की प्रवृत्ति तथा फास्ट फूड की लत  को भी ब्लड बैंकों में  रक्त की कमी  के लिए जिम्मेदार बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि विश्व में सबसे अधिक युवा जनसंख्या वाले देश में रक्त  की कमी से मौत होना शर्म‌ की बात है। ऐसे युवा स्वयं बीमार रहकर अथवा  कम हीमोग्लोबिन होते हुए दूसरों की जान क्या बचायेंगे। उन्होंने  युवावर्ग को नशा त्यागकर तथा फास्ट फूड के बजाय घर में बना पौष्टिक  आहार तथा हरी सब्जियां भी  खाने की सलाह दी।

         विशिष्ट अतिथि पद्मिनी मल्होत्रा ने  छात्राओं व महिलाओं  में एनीमिया  की समस्या व समाधान  पर विस्तार से बताया।

विशिष्ट अतिथि मेजर प्रेमलता वर्मा ने थैलीसीमिया , हीमोफीलिया तथा सिकल सेल आदि आनुवांशिक बीमारियों की चर्चा की।
गोष्ठी में विशिष्ट अतिथियों श्री सुभाष चौहान, वाईस चेयरमैन, कार्यकारिणी सदस्य विकास कुमार तथा अंतेजा बिष्ट ने भी अपने विचार व्यक्त किए।
शिविर में महंत इंद्रेश हास्पिटल ब्लड बैंक की टीम में मेडिकल ऑफीसर डॉ०वगीशा गर्ग, समन्वयक अमित चंद्रा, टेक्नीशियन राकेश कुकरेती, सचिन सेमवाल,मीनाक्षी,नीलम,नीरज,नितेश,मोहित, विपिन,विकास सिंह, तथा जितेन्द्र पांडे आदि सम्मिलित थे।
