नई दिल्ली। समलैंगिक विवाह को कानूनी मान्यता देने के मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट सुनवाई के लिए तैयार हो गया है। समलैंगिक कपल की ओर से दायर की गई याचिका में मांग की गई है कि स्पेशल मैरिज एक्ट को जेंडर न्यूट्रल बनाया जाए और LGBTQ+ समुदाय को सेम सेक्स मैरिज की अनुमति दी जाए।केंद्र व अटॉर्नी जनरल को नोटिस जारी
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इस मामले में केंद्र सरकार व अटॉर्नी जनरल को अलग-अलग नोटिस जारी किया है। साथ ही इस मामले को चार सप्ताह में सुनवाई के लिए सूचीबद्ध किया है। इसके साथ ही शीर्ष अदालत ने केरल सहित अन्य उच्च न्यायालयों में लंबित याचिकाओं को सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में स्थानांतरित करने का आदेश दिया है। सभी मामलों की सुनवाई एक साथ की जाएगी।
याचिका में कहा गया है कि एलजीबीटीक्यू समुदाय को भी अपनी पसंद के किसी भी व्यक्ति से शादी करने का मौलिक अधिकार है। हालांकि, वर्तमान में विवाह को मान्यता देने वाला कानूनी ढांचा LGBTQ+ समुदाय के सदस्यों को उनकी पसंद के लोगों से शादी करने की अनुमति नहीं देता है। यह संविधान के तहत दिए गए मौलिक अधिकारों का उल्लंघन है। याचिका में समलैंगिक लोगों की शादी को स्पेशल मैरिज एक्ट में शामिल करने की मांग की गई है। जानकारी के मुताबिक, सीजेआई डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ और जस्टिस हिमा कोहली की बेंच इस मामले पर सुनवाई करेगी।
