देहरादून। नजीर हुसैन ने भारत को अंतरराष्ट्रीय मोटरस्पोर्ट्स के नक्शे पर मजबूती से खड़ा किया। उन्होंने 1971 में इंडियन ऑटोमोटिव रेसिंग क्लब की स्थापना कर 1980 से लेकर 1999 के दशक में हिमालयन कार रैली का आयोजन किया। उक्त बात प्रदेश के पर्यटन, लोक निर्माण, सिंचाई, जलागम, धर्मस्व एवं संस्कृति मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने बुधवार को मसूरी स्थित होटल “द सेवॉय” परिसर में हिमालयन कार रैली को फ्लैग दिखाकर रवाना करने के पश्चात कही।
प्रदेश के पर्यटन, लोक निर्माण, सिंचाई, जलागम, धर्मस्व एवं संस्कृति मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने बुधवार को मसूरी स्थित “द सेवॉय” होटल के परिसर में टीम फायरफॉक्स द्वारा आयोजित और नजीर हुसैन के संस्थापक क्लब द्वारा समर्थित हिमालयन कार रैली को फ्लैग दिखाकर रवाना किया।
इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए पर्यटन मंत्री
सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि हिमालयन कार रैली का आयोजन सन 1980 से लेकर 1919 के दशक में “द सेवॉय होटल” के सहयोग से किया जाता रहा है।
चार दशक के बाद फिर से आयोजित होने वाली कार रैली के शुभारम्भ अवसर पर आयोजकों को बधाई देते हुए श्री महाराज ने कहा कि प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने भी इस आयोजन के पुनः शुरू होने पर अपनी शुभकामनाएं दी है।
श्री महाराज ने कहा कि इस रैली की सबसे बड़ी विशेषता यह है कि इसमें लोग अपने परिवार के साथ शामिल हो रहे हैं। इस प्रकार के आयोजन भविष्य में होते रहने चाहिए ताकि लोग उत्तराखंड की वादियों, पहाड़ियों, और यहां की सुंदरता का आनंद ले सकें। उन्होने कहा कि शीतकाल में जब प्रदेश में पर्यटन की रफ्तार धीमी हो जाती है तो इस प्रकार के आयोजन प्राण फूंकने का काम करते हैं।
लैंसडौन, मसूरी, कुफरी और मनाली आदि मार्गो से होकर जाने वाली हिमालयन कार रैली में 100 से अधिक ऐतिहासिक भव्य कारें प्रतिभाग कर रही हैं। कार रैली उसी मार्ग पर चलाई जा रही है जिस मार्ग को 1981 में रैली के लिए तय किया गया था।
