हिंदुस्तान की महान शख्सियत व अभिनय जगत के शहंशाह दिलीप कुमार पर फिल्माया गया ये गीत ओ दूर के मुसाफिर हमको भी साथ ले-ले रे हम रह गए अकेले …..1955 में मशहूर फिल्म उड़न खटोला का है
ये गीत आज उनके चले जाने पर उनके चाहने वालो की वेदना को दर्शाता है। मुम्बई के जूहू कब्रिस्तान में बड़े सम्मान के साथ हिंदुस्तान के इस महान अभनेता को सुपर्द-ऐ-खाक किया गया। उनके चले जाने से आज हिंदी सिनेमा के स्वर्णकाल का एक अंत हो गया है।
हिंदुस्तान के इस कोहिनूर हीरे की चमक ने दुनिया मे लाखो लोगो को सदियों से दीवाना बनाया था आज पूरा बॉलीवुड ही नही बल्कि दुनिया के कई लोग आज उनकी मौत के सदमे से स्तब्ध है। केवल भारत ही नही बल्कि पूरा पेशावर (उनके पैतृक आवास ) उनकी मौत की खबर सुनकर शोक में डूब गया।
मेरे पिता स्व0 रमेश मोहन जिनकी पैदाइश मसूरी की थी उन दिनों सिनेमा का बहुत चलन था। 1955 के दशक में दिलीप साहब के अभिनय का जादू सर चढ़ कर बोल रहा था उनकी फिल्में देख देख कर मेरे पिता उनके मुरीद हो गए। जब दिलीप साहब की फिल्मी रिलीज होती थी तो मेरे पिताजी चोरी छिपे स्कूल से टप कर फिल्में देखने जाया करते थे। मधुमति जैसे पुनर्जन्म की फ़िल्म देखकर उसकी कहानी ने उनको इतना प्रभावित किया कि वे एक सप्ताह तक दुनिया से बेखबर हो गए घरवालों ने सोचा कि किसी भूत प्रेत का साया उन पर हावी हो गया है। झाड़फूंक वाले बाबा व हकीम को दिखाने के बाद भी कुछ समझ ना आया। कई दिनों के बाद पता चला कि ये जादू भूत प्रेत का नही था ये दिलीप साहब की फिल्मों का असर था। उस जमाने की बात ही कुछ और थी।
दिलीप कुमार का फिल्मी कॅरियर 1944 में ‘ज्वार भाटा’ फिल्म से शुरू हुआ, लेकिन 1949 में बनी महबूब खान की फिल्म ‘अंदाज’ से वह चर्चा में आये. उनकी पहली हिट फिल्म “जुगनू” थी. 1947 में रिलीज हुई इस फिल्म ने बॉलिवुड में दिलीप कुमार को हिट फिल्मों के स्टार की श्रेणी में लाकर खड़ा कर दिया। फिर एक के बाद एक उनकी फिल्मों ने अभिनय की ऐसी छाप छोड़ी की उन दिनों नए एक्टर मनोज कुमार व राजेन्द्र कुमार ने उनके नक्शे कदम पर चल कर फिल्मों में अपने को स्थापित किया। धर्मेंद्र भी उन अभिनेताओं में से एक थे जिन्होंने उनकी फिल्में देखकर उन्हें अपना प्रेरणास्रोत मानते हुए उन्होंनेअपना फिल्मी सफर शुरू किया था।
