पिथौरागढ़/देहरादून। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मंगलवार को काली एवं गोरी नदी के संगम पर आयोजित 110 वर्ष पुराने जौलजीबी मेले का शुभारंभ किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जौलजीबी मेला भारत, नेपाल व तिब्बत के मध्य आपसी सौहार्द, व्यापारिक, सास्कृतिक व परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाने का कार्य करता है। यह मेला धार्मिक, आर्थिक एवं सांस्कृतिक विकास में बहुत महत्व रखता है। यह मेला भारत एवं नेपाल देश के बीच संस्कृति, सभ्यता के साथ-साथ व्यापारिक संबंधों को बढ़ाता आ रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि वे बचपन से ही यहां के रीति-रिवाज और संस्कृति को देखते आ रहे हैं तथा इस मेले से उन्हें बहुत लगाव रहा है। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री ने जौलजीबी मेले हेतु रुपए 10 लाख दिए जाने की घोषणा की तथा केएमवीएन द्वारा काली नदी पर युवाओं हेतु आयोजित राफ्टिंग प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का भी शुभारंभ किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने विभिन्न विभागों द्वारा लगाई गई विकास प्रदर्शनी का शुभारंभ कर सभी स्टालों का भी निरीक्षण किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने चॉकलेट देकर बच्चों को बाल दिवस की बधाई दी तथा उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह सांस्कृतिक मेला हमारी विलुप्त होती लोक विरासत को संरक्षण प्रदान कर रहा है और आने वाली पीढ़ी को हमारी लोक संस्कृति से परिचित कराने का कार्य भी कर रहा है। राष्ट्र और संस्कृति को प्रत्यक्ष रूप से जानने का अवसर प्रदान करने वाला यह सांस्कृतिक मेला, निश्चित रूप से हमारी आगामी पीढ़ी के लिए सामाजिक समरसता को प्रगाढ़ करने का कार्य करेगा। ऐसे सांस्कृतिक आयोजनों के माध्यम से हमारे राज्य के कलाकारों को भी एक मंच प्राप्त होता है और उनकी कला को प्रोत्साहन मिलता है।
