मसूरी (देहरादून)। विश्व पर्यटन दिवस -2023 के उपलक्ष्य में राज्य में विभिन्न स्थानों पर पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये गये। इस वर्ष UNWTO द्वारा विश्व पर्यटन दिवस की थीम Tourism and Green Investment निर्धारित की गयी है।

सर जॉर्ज एवरेस्ट मसूरी में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में पर्यटन मंत्री सतपाल महाराज द्वारा कॉर्टोग्राफी म्यूजियम का लोकार्पण करने के साथ-साथ जॉर्ज एवरेस्ट स्थित हैलीपैड को महान भारतीय पर्वतारोही राधानाथ सिकंदर को समर्पित किया गया।

पर्यटन मंत्री श्री महाराज ने कार्यक्रम के दौरान अपने संबोधन में सर जॉर्ज एवरेस्ट तथा राधानाथ सिकदर द्वारा किये गये पर्वतारोहण तथा सर्वे के कार्यों की सरहाना करते हुए जॉर्ज एवरेस्ट कॉर्टोग्राफी म्यूजियम को भारत के सभी महान पर्वतारोहियों को समर्पित किया। यह म्यूजियम अपने आप में एक अनूठा म्यूजियम है, जिसमें सर जॉज एवरेस्ट द्वारा किये गये Great Trigonometric Arc Survey तथा भारतीय पर्वतारोहियों द्वारा विभिन्न हिमालयी चोटियों के सर्वे को दर्शाया गया है। साथ ही सर्वे में प्रयोग होने वाले विभिन्न उपकरणों की भी जानकारी म्यूजियम में दी गयी है ।

पर्यटन मंत्री ने पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा किये जा रहे विभिन्न कार्यों जानकारी देते हुए राज्य के विभिन्न जनपदों में विश्व पर्यटन दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित कार्यक्रमों के विषय में भी अवगत करवाया।

पर्यटन मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने उपस्थित अतिथियों को सम्बोधित करते हुए बताया कि विश्व पर्यटन दिवस – 2023 के अवसर पर भारत सरकार द्वारा आयोजित Best Tourism Village प्रतियोगिता के अन्तर्गत पिथौरागढ़ जनपद स्थित सरमोली गांव को सर्वश्रेष्ठ पर्यटक गांव का पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया। इस प्रतियोगिता में भारत सरकार द्वारा सभी राज्यों से पर्यटक ग्रामों की सूचना तथा प्रस्तुतिकरण का आवेदन मांगा गया था। प्रस्तुतिकरण में पर्यटक ग्रामों में पर्यटन से जुड़ी विभिन्न गतिविधियों और पर्यटकों के लिए होम स्टे आदि सुविधाओं के बारे में जानकारी ली गई। भारत सरकार द्वारा यह पुरस्कार राज्य द्वारा पर्यटन में सामुदायिक भागीदारी का एक उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है।

नगर पालिका परिषद मसूरी के अध्यक्ष श्री अनुज गुप्ता ने अपने सम्बोधन में मसूरी आने वाले पर्यटकों का इस संग्रहालय में स्वागत किया तथा मसूरी के अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों से मसूरी आने वाले पर्यटकों को इस नये पर्यटन स्थल के बारे में जानकारी देने का आग्रह किया। .

इस अवसर पर जनपद अल्मोडा में पर्यटन से संबंधित विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों में चित्रकला, निबंध, एमटीबी आदि प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन करने के साथ ही पर्यटकों एवं क्षेत्रवासियों को पर्यटन में पर्यावरण संरक्षण से संबंधित जानकारी दी गयी। पिथौरागढ़ जिले में पर्यटकों के लिए पैराग्लाइडिंग, हॉट एयर बैलूनिंग शो के साथ ही रॉक क्लाइम्बिंग प्रतियोगिता, स्टार गेजिंग और राफ्टिंग का भी आयोजन किया गया। पिथौरागढ़ के लंदन फोर्ट में सांस्कृतिक संध्या का भी आयोजन किया गया। इस वर्ष चम्पावत जिले में राष्ट्रीय राफ्टिंग चैम्पियनशिप एवं एंगलिंग का तीन दिवसीय आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इस प्रतियोगिता में विभिन्न राज्यों के साथ-साथ नेपाल की टीमें भी भाग ले रही हैं। जनपद उत्तरकाशी में ट्रैकिंग एवं माउंटेन बाइकिंग का आयोजन किया गया। इसके अलावा पर्यटन एवं हरित निवेश पर एक सेमिनार भी आयोजित किया गया। जनपद टिहरी में वृक्षारोपण, एमटीबी एवं ट्रैकिंग आदि कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये गये।

आयोजन में मसूरी नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष श्री अनुज गुप्ता तथा श्री युगल किशोर पंत, अपर मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी, उत्तराखण्ड पर्यटन विकास परिषद् तथा होटल एवं होम स्टे एसोसिएशन के प्रतिनिधि भी उपस्थित थे।
