उन्होंने स्कूल की छात्राओं को सम्बोधित करते हुये कहा कि आज कुछ विदेशी ताक़तें हमारे देश के युवाओं को नशे रूपी जाल में फँसाना चाहते हैं, जिससे कि वह हमारे देश के युवाओं को उनके लक्ष्य से भटकाकर देश की जड़ों को कमजोर कर सकें। उन्होंने बताया कि आतंकवाद को सबसे ज़्यादा फंडिंग नशे के कारोबार से होती है। जाने- अनजाने में नशा करने वाले युवा आतंकवाद को बढ़ावा देते है। अतः हम सब को नशा मुक्त समाज के निर्माण का संकल्प लेना चाहिये।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान स्कूल की छात्राओं ने भी अपने विचार साझा किए और बताया कि देहरादून के अनेक स्थानों पर भी लोग नशे के आगोश में हैं। छात्राओं ने कहा कि वह भी लोगों को नशे के खिलाफ जागरूक करेंगे। स्कूल की एक छात्रा ने अपनी आपबीती साझा करते हुए बतााया कि नशे के कारण उसके पिता जी की मौत हो चुकी है और उसके चाचा भी नशे के आगोश में है, जिसके चलते परिवार में कई तरह की परेशानियां उठानी पड़ती हैं। छात्रा की परेशानी को देखते हुए मानवाधिकार संरक्षण एवं भ्रष्ट्राचार निवारक समिति के अध्यक्ष ललित मोहन जोशी ने छात्रा को आश्वासन दिया कि वह उस छात्रा के साथ ही स्कूल की 10 छात्राओं को मिशन एजुकेशन स्कीम के तहत अपने संस्थान सीआईएमएस एंड य़ूआईएचएमटी ग्रुप ऑफ कॉलेज देहरादून में नि:शुल्क उच्च शिक्षा दिलाएंगे।
