इस बात पर चिंतन मनन करते हुए पर्यटन, धर्मस्व एवं संस्कृति मंत्री सतपाल महाराज की अध्यक्षता में आज एक बैठक का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें प्रदेश के समस्त जनपदों में स्थित प्राचीन मंदिरों का विवरण लेते हुए पर्यटन एवं तीर्थाटन की दृष्टि से उनके प्रचार एवं प्रसार पर व्यापक मंथन किया गया।
पर्यटन विभाग गढ़ीकैंट में अधिकारियों व 13 जिले के डीटीडीओ के साथ वर्चुवल बैठक आयोजित कर पर्यटन मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड आने वाले पर्यटकों व तीर्थ यात्रियों को सभी प्रचीन और ऐतिहासिक मंदिरों की जानकारी देना आवश्यक है जिससे राज्य में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा मिल सके।
बैठक में 13 जनपदों के डीटीडीओ आनलाईन उपस्थित हुए और अपने-अपने जनपदों स्थित प्राचीन मंदिरों का विवरण पर्यटन मंत्री के सम्मुख रखा।
बैठक के दौरान पर्यटन मंत्री ने बताया कि उन्होंने महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी से आग्रह किया है कि वे फिल्म निर्माताओं को उत्तराखण्ड की चर्चित हस्तियों जैसे नैन सिंह रावत, अजीत डोभाल, थारू व बोक्सा जाति, राजा मालूसाई आदि के जीवन पर फिल्म का निर्माण करने के लिए भी प्रेरित करें।
बैठक में पर्यटन की दृष्टि से अल्मोड़ा में स्थित शिव मंदिर कपिलेश्वर व जागेश्वर, पिथौरागढ़ में पाताल
बैठक के बाद पर्यटन सचिव ने जिले के सभी डीटीडीओ को दिशा निर्देश दिये कि अपने जिले के संबंधित सभी धार्मिक स्थलों का विवरण यथा शीघ्र दें।
बैठक में सचिव पर्यटन दिलीप जावलकर, अपर सचिव सोनिका, संयुक्त निदेशक विवेक चैहान, उपनिदेशक योगेन्द्र कुमार गंगवार, रिसर्च अधिकारी एसएस सामंत तथा अन्य विभागीय अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
