सौहार्द पूर्ण वातावरण में मनाये इगास पर्व और रखे सामाजिक दायरा: सतपाल महाराज
11 दिन बाद इगास, गढ़वाली दीपावली मनाई जाती है
देहरादून। पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति मंत्री श्री सतपाल महाराज ने आज प्रदेशवासियों को इगास (बग्वाल) गढ़वाली दीपावली की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कोविड के नियमों का पालन करने का अनुरोध किया है।
श्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि गढ़वाल क्षेत्र में दीपावली के 11 दिन बाद इगास, गढ़वाली दीपावली मनाई जाती है। श्री महाराज ने कहा कि भगवान राम के वनवास से अयोध्या लौटने के 11 दिन बाद उत्तराखंड में सूचना पहुंची थी। इसलिए यहां पर 11 दिन बाद दीपावली मनाने की परंपरा है। साथ यह भी उल्लेख मिलता है कि लगभग 400 वर्ष पूर्व वीर माधव सिंह भंडारी के नेतृत्व में गढ़वाल सेना के द्वारा दापाघाट का युद्ध जीता गया था। युद्ध में विजय प्राप्त करने की खुशी में भी विजय पर्व के रूप में इगास मनाने की परंपरा है। श्री सतपाल महाराज ने समस्त प्रदेशवासियों को इगास (बगवाल) गढ़वाली दीपावली की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए आग्रह किया है कि सभी सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग को ध्यान में रखते हुए कोविड के नियमों का पालन करें और सौहार्दपूर्ण वातावरण में इस पर्व को मनाएं।
