हरिद्वार। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा हरिद्वार सहित देश के 75 जनपदों में 75 डिजिटल बैकिंग इकाइयों को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया।
इसी कडी में हरिद्वार के योग विहार, देवपूरा स्थित एचडीएफसी बैंक की डिजिटल बैकिंग यूनिट को भी केन्द्रीय राज्य मंत्री अजय भट्ट और प्रदेश के कैबिनेट मंत्री और जनपद के प्रभारी मंत्री सतपाल महाराज की मौजूदगी में बैंक ग्राहकों के लिए समर्पित किया गया। इस अवसर पर वहां उपस्थित सभी लोगों ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा इन डिजिटल बैकिंग इकाइयों की उपयोगिता पर दिये गये उद्बोधन को भी गंभीरता से सुना।
इस मौके पर प्रदेश के कैबिनेट मंत्री और जनपद के प्रभारी मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि
बैंकिंग सुविधाओं को देश के अंतिम व्यक्ति तक पहुंचाने के उद्देश्य से प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए 75 डिजिटल बैंकिंग यूनिट्स (Digital Banking Units -DBUs) को लांच किया। उन्होने कहा कि इस वित्त वर्ष के बजट भाषण में देश के वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने आजादी के 75 वर्ष पूरे होने की उपलक्ष्य में देश के 75 जिलों में 75 डीबीयू स्थापित करने की घोषणा की थी उसी क्रम में हरिद्वार में भी डिजिटल बैकिंग यूनिट को स्थापित किया गया है।
सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि डीबीयू की स्थापना करने के पीछे सरकार का लक्ष्य देश के कोने-कोने में डिजिटल बैंकिंग के लाभ जनता तक पहुंचाना है। इस योजना में देश के सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों को कवर किया गया है। उन्होने कहा कि सरकार के इस प्रयास में 11 सरकारी बैंक, 12 निजी बैंक और एक स्माल फाइनेंस बैंक भाग ले रहे हैं।
इस अवसर पर पूर्व कैबिनेट मंत्री मदन कौशिक, एचडीएफसी बैंक अधिकारी सहित अनेक लोग उपस्थित थे।
