के.एस.खान का कहना है कि एक तरफ कोरोना की मार झेल रहे सिनेमाहाल हॉल आर्थिक मंदी से जूझ रहे है थोड़ी रही सही कसर सरकार की बेरुखी ने सिनेमा मालिको को बेरोजगारी
के कगार पर लाकर रख छोड़ा है।
श्री खान ने बताया पहले सिनेमा हॉल की स्थिति ऐसी नही थी। कभी देहरादून के सिनेमा हॉल मनोरंजन के रुप मे लोगो का आशियाना हुआ करते थे। और लोगो का रोजगार बेहतर तरीके से चला करता था। छायादीप सिनेमाहॉल की बात कहे तो सदियों से एक से बढ़कर एक बेहतरीन फिल्मो की शख्सियत के रूप में पहचान थी छायादीप सिनेमाहॉल की। कभी इस सिनेमा हाल में 10 से 15 लोगो का स्टाफ हुआ करता था परन्तु अब एक व्यक्ति की तनख्वाह निकाल पाना भी बहुत मुश्किल है। श्री खान का कहना है कि कोरोना काल में आर्थिक मंदी के दौर से गुजर रहे सिनेमाहॉल पर इस समय राज्य सरकार को थोड़ा प्रोत्साहन व हमदर्दी की जरूरत है लेकिन अपने उदासीन रवैये के कारण सिनेमा मालिको की मदद करने को कतई तैयार नही है। जिसका आलम यह है कि कई सिनेमा मालिकों ने हालातों से दुखी होकर सिनेमा हॉल बन्द कर दिए। जो चल रहे है उनकी हालत बयां करने लायक नही है।
श्री खान का कहना है कि कुछ दिनों से जो सिनेमाहॉल खुले है उनमे दर्शकों के नाम पर सन्नाटा पसरा हुआ है। ऐसे में दो वक्त की रोटी कमा पाना भी बेहद मुश्किल हो गया है। जबकि पूर्व में राज्य सरकार द्वारा सिनेमाहॉल की दशा को सुधारने हेतु आर्थिक रूप से मदद किये जाने की योजनाओं पर प्रस्ताव बनाया था जो महज कागजो में सिमट कर रह गया। श्री खान का कहना है कि यदि सरकार ने सहारा ना दिया तो देहरादून से पुराने सिनेमाहॉलो का नामोनिशान ही मिट जाएगा ।
